If that's not quite enough room, the bag's main compartment expands by 15 percent (up to 6,950 cubic inches) for even more packing. You can store smaller items in the bag's other compartments, which include an interior accessories pocket and a front zippered boarding pass pocket. Plus, the bag is a breeze to haul through airport concourses and city streets thanks to the oversized HC2 off-road wheels, which deliver a smooth ride over varied terrain, and the ergonomic retractable handle system. The bag even includes a rugged skid plate and corner bumpers to protect against urban obstacles.

Other features include interior compression wings to secure the load, a detachable piggyback clip for add-a-bag versatility, a front slip-away luggage tag and color accents to help identify your bag, and two-way lockable zippers on all main compartments. Compatible with Eagle Creek's Pack-It organizing system, the Hovercraft 28 measures 18 by 28 by 14 inches (W x H x D) in its default form and 18 by 28 by 16 inches when expanded, with a frame that weighs 9 pounds 6 ounces.
